Mallory
was named to the US Paralympic Swimming Team in June at Paralympic Swimming
Trials in Bismarck, ND. Being named to
the US team has been a goal that Mallory has had her sights set on since April
2008 when she was at Paralympic Swimming Trials at the University of Minnesota
as a spectator. As her family we are
extremely proud of all that Mallory has accomplished over the last four
years.
Mallory
will be leaving on August 15 to being her journey to London. The members of the US Paralympic Swimming
team will first go to Stuttgart, Germany to a Military base where they will be
for 10 days. While there she will be
training, spending time with team mates, and getting acclimated to the time
zone. On August 26 the US team will
travel to London where they will move into the athlete’s village and
begin training at the Aquatics Centre.
